A shredded part, and 48 hours
The oddest job we remember was a replacement part for a machine imported from the USA. It came to us badly shredded, along with the place it fitted. We made the drawing, the tooling and the part in about 48 hours. The customer did not quite believe it.
Test-fit before you pay for tooling
For prototypes we cut soft tooling in aluminium, or sometimes mild steel, because it is quicker than a production mould.
We also 3D print parts in TPU with the hardness matched to the rubber you will use, so you can test-fit the shape before any die or mould is made. We do not print in rubber itself.
For a simple part, the first article is usually ready in about a week.
