Cord is often the cheapest way to seal a machined groove. We extrude it in silicone and EPDM, cut it to length or join it into rings, and make flat silicone strip alongside it.

Common sponge cord sizes are usually available from stock. Everything else is made to order.

Rings from cord
When no standard O-ring fits
A length of cord joined end to end becomes a ring for a groove that no standard O-ring fits. Silicone joints are vulcanised, with no glue. How we join each material is on the joined gaskets page, and our standard sizes are on the O-rings page.
